Accessibility
Last updated: 6 October 2026
We want Signum Average to be usable by everyone, and aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we do
- Text meets or exceeds the recommended contrast against the background, and can be enlarged without breaking the layout.
- Every chart and photograph has a text description for screen readers.
- Chart colours are tested so that readers with red-green colour blindness can tell the series apart, and series are labelled, so colour is never the only cue.
- The site works with a keyboard alone and on small screens.
- The data behind every chart can be downloaded, so the numbers are available without the picture.
Known limits
- Charts are drawings without an accompanying table on the page; the data is in a separate download.
- Our PDF reports (sent on request) and maps are not fully tagged for screen readers.
- The tracker page is slightly too wide on the narrowest phones.
Tell us. If something on the site is hard to use, write to thesignumaverage@proton.me and we will try to fix it.
